I found this hotel on tripadvisor and stayed here because of the good reviews. I arrived with my girlfriend at about 11pm the night we were supposed to check-in due to long airline delays and despite the lobby being closed and everyone asleep, a couple of the staff members were kind enough to get up and show us our room.
The room was simple (we booked the standard room with fan) and had two hard but clean beds and an old but clean bathroom. The hot water was finicky but we managed. Looking at the superior and deluxe rooms along the creek, they seemed to be quite nice.

The next morning I walked out of my room to find hot tea waiting on the veranda and to see just a stunning location with rice paddies and palm trees. The pool was very nice and clean and the restaurant was good(never ate there except for the breakfast). One of the staff members, August, was very helpful and was enthusiastic about helping us plan what we wanted to do around Ubud.

I had no idea what was in store coming to Nick's as it was my first time to Bali and the first place I would stay after hours of flying, but me and my girlfriend were suprised. We initially booked 3 nights but stayed 5, mostly because we liked Ubud so much but Nick's was in a quiet location near all the major shopping and restaurants of Ubud. I would certainly stay here again because of the location, cleanliness, and value.
